On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, the surgery will be open from 9am to 10am for over-the-counter purchases and for the collection of prescriptions, but there will be no consultations available those mornings. Mr Griffin will be retiring as a partner from Wrekin View at the end of this month. He has been at the practice since 1975 and all our clients will know him.
Rabbit Awareness Week is September 15th to 22nd September 2012.
This year's RAW will be focussing on getting your rabbit vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease. We will be offering FREE HEALTH CHECKS and advice for rabbits and their owners during this week in September. Please click here to go to our Rabbit Information Sheet, or visit www.rabbitawarenessweek.co.uk for more details. We will be stocking a brand new spot-on flea treatment for cats in the very near future. Activyl comes in a box of 4 doses and is different to other products in that:
Please ask us about the benefits of Activyl or see www.activyl.co.uk for more details. In the next couple of months we will have a on-line shop up and running. You can order from a extensive range of pet foods and accessories direct from the comfort of your home. Options for delivery will include collection from our surgery, or you can have the items delivered to home or work within 24-36 hours.
Watch this space! It is with sadness that I have to announce that Laura, one of our Veterinary Nurses, is leaving us to go and work at a veterinary practice nearer home; we are very sad to see her go and would like to take this opportunity to thank her for all her hard work for the practice and its patients over the years.
On a happier note, we have another Laura (also a registered Veterinary Nurse) starting with us on April 16th. She is most welcome and I hope that she will enjoy working at Wrekin View. There may be some confusion to start with about names though! June 2012 is Dental Care month, sponsored by Pedigree Dentastix. We will be offering a FREE dental health check for your dog, along with a free sample of Dentastix for him/her. These check ups will be with one of our trained veterinary staff. If your pet needs dental attention, then you will receive a 10% discount. There is no obligation, only free advice and reassurance!
Please ring the surgery nearer the time for more details. I am pleased to tell that Laura has passed her Veterinary Nursing exams and is now a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse! Congratulations!
