Microchips | Identichips for Your Pet
Identichips are tiny inert electronic tags, about the size of a grain of rice, that can be implanted under the skin of your pet at
the back of the neck. Each chip is encoded with a unique number, which thus permanently identifies your pet. This number is
recorded on a central database along with your contact details and your pets details.
This means that, if your pet went missing, and was subsequently found by the police, RSPCA or taken to a vet or a kennels,
this number will allow them to contact you directly.
It has just be announced that new legislation will require that all dogs in England will have to be microchipped from 2016.
